Alienware has recently announced the launch of its new and first Steam Machine Gaming Console. Alienware was already with Valve from last four years and is now announcing its first dedicated Alienware Steam Machine. According to the company they designed it to deliver a better PC gaming experience in a small footprint for the living room, but in an incredible manner.
“We have been working with Alienware since we began defining our vision of the Steam Machine. Alienware’s historic commitment to gaming, their design and engineering capabilities and their global reach made them an ideal partner for us on our Steam Machine project,” said Gabe Newell, Founder of Valve. “The result of our collaboration is the Alienware Steam Machine, a console that encapsulates the full potential of what a Steam Machine should be.”
The company has announced that the console will be coming in the second half of 2014 and the company has also shown a mock-up device at CES 2014 Valve Event. The Alienware Steam Machine looks very similar to a book in the matter of size, but it is thick too. Bryan De Zayas, global marketing director at Alienware, said that it is 8in x 8in x 3in. The Internals will include an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU.
