Microsoft confirms Widnows 8.1 update free for Windows 8 Users

Today Windows CFO Tami Reller has confirmed that the upcoming Windows Operating System which is codenamed as Windows blue, will be officially known as Windows 8.1. However it is not any surprising news, as it was already known with leaked builds and various reports that upcoming Windows Blue OS will be known as Windows 8.1.

Microsoft also said that they will provide free of cost Windows 8.1 update for existing Windows 8 users through it’s Windows Store. It is being expected that Microsoft will provide more details in upcoming Build Developer Conference which is scheduled to take place in June. Microsoft has already started distributing the Windows 8.1 Public Preview to several OEMs.
