  • First of all you have to download the required rooting tool of Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
  • After downloading, extract the files (using WinRAR or WinZIP any file compressing software which you like) it on your PC.
  • Now, you have to connect your Micromax A116 Canvas HD smartphone to your PC using the data cable. when it get connected, run a file namely ‘RunMe.bat’ which is located in the folder where you have extracted the downloaded rooting tool of Canvas HD.
  • A CP (Command Prompt) window will appear before you. You will be seeing some green words there, don’t get yourself panicked or disturbed with them. Just press ’1′ key. This will enable you to access in Normal Mode.
  • After that, Windows will provide you some instructions. Follow those instructions carefully to proceed.
  • Please Note that, your canvas HD may reboot several times while the process of being held.
  • The green words prevailing in the window will ensure your awareness about the process going on.
  • Once a successful and congratulatory message appears on the screen, your work is done. Reboot the Canvas HD and with this you have rooted Micromax A116 Canvas HD.

    This method initially gave me a successful message. However, nothing worked, the PC said ‘Found new hardware’ – ‘Your h/w might not work properly’. I disconnected the USB and reconnected, I repeated the whole process mentioned above. The command prompt box shows the msg “Waiting for device to shop us, if nothing happens please check if Windows ADB-drivers are installed correctly!” What should I do now to connect the handset to my PC?
