Fortune says YouTube music streaming service to launch this year

There is much rumblings regarding Google’s plan to release a Spotify-killer for music streaming service. Relating that a new report has been arrived. Fortune spoke to some of the folks in the record industry who has confirmed the latter and also said that this new streaming service will be launching this year. Below is the statement released by YouTube on this topic:
While we don’t comment on rumor or speculation, there are some content creators that think they would benefit from a subscription revenue stream in addition to ads, so we’re looking at that.
