How to recover deleted contacts in Android
A few days back, after a big fight with my girlfriend, I decided to delete her contact from my phone. But after 2 or 3 days, I thought do talk to her one more time and apologize for my mistake. But when I checked my phone, I remembered that I have already deleted her contact number from my phone. So, to bring the deleted contact back, I followed some basic steps in Android. Here is what I did and you should also do if you have accidentally deleted contacts on your phone.
Google’s Android is a great operating system, most of its features are only accessible when you log into your Android device with your Google Account. It is obvious that if you are using any Android device then you might have already logged in with your Gmail account. Here is what is interesting about Android. When a user log into their Android device, then Google cleverly creates a backup of all his contacts on its servers. Giving us two useful features: number one: your contacts can be easily accessed from any device and number two you can easily restore the accidentally deleted contacts.
So, to restore your deleted contacts, what you have to do is just follow the below steps:
- Visit Gmail
- Now click on the Gmail Link in the top left corner of the page, it will show a new drop-down menu.
- Now you have to click on the Contacts Option.
- Wait for a few seconds and it will load all your contacts.
- Now what you have to do is just click on the More tab.
- Click Restore Contacts…
- Now just choose the time. If you deleted the contact a hour ago, a week ago or at any other time. Just select the time and click on the Restore option.
- Done.
Your deleted contacts will return back.
Hope this helps and if you have any other way to recover the deleted contacts, do share it in the comment section below.
