This Doze App Will Increase Your Smartphone’s Battery Life

With the launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Google introduced a new Doze mode, which basically improves the battery backup of user’s Android phone or tablet. To do that, it just prevents some tasks and apps from running in the background or making a data connection when the phone is left untouched or is in sleep mode. Unfortunately, this amazing feature is currently only available for Android phones running Marshmallow, like the Google Nexus series or the newly launched HTC One A9.

Don’t worry, there is now a way which will help you get the same Doze mode on your Android Lollipop running smartphone or tablet. Dubbed simply as Doze, this app is now available for download free of cost on the Google Play Store. Unlike any other battery saving app, Doze app does what it advertises. It will prevent apps from running or accessing internet connection when the screen is off. Thus, saving not only the battery life, but also your data pack.

As the developer team explains, the Doze app is different from Power-saving mode which you will find in Android 5 Lollipop operating system. As power-saving mode basically turns off your data connection and then you will have to manually open the app to get receive data again. But Doze works differently. When the screen is on, apps will automatically resume the data where they left.

Doze is currently available for all the Android smartphone or tablet running Android 4.1 or above.
