Acer Chromebook 14 for Work has spill-resistant keyboard
Chromebook isn’t only for the young generation or students, but also for work. And Acer, with the launch of its new Chrome 14 for Work, wants to focus on that particular market segment. The company has launched a new Chromebook, which is also the first to come with Google’s Chrome for Work suit.
There are many new and unique things in Chromebook 14, let’s talk about them in detail.
Starting with the design, the Chromebook 14 is the first laptop to featuring a Vibrant Corning Gorilla Glass, offering durable glass finish that is even customizable through several images. Along with that, this Chrome OS running machine has a spill-resistant keyboard with rugged MIL-STD 810G military standard. The company says that it will protect your Cheomebook 14 from all the accidental drops, damages, dust, temperature and humidity.
The Chromebook 14’s spill-resistant keyboard can survive spills of up to 11 fluid ounces. The company says that it uses a unique gutter system under its keyboard and touchpad to make that possible. Thanks to that, when water gets on the surface of keyboard, it drains it through the two hails away from internal components.
It has a 14-inch display screen with 1366×768 HD and 1920×1080 Full HD resolution options. The device is powered by Intel’s 6th-generation Celeron and Core processors, which can be configured up to 8GB of memory. The company is launching it in different configurations - one with 32GB eMMC storage and another with 16GB storage. And on RAM, you have 2GB, 4GB and 8GB options.
On the connectivity, it has a pair of standard USB 3.0 ports, SD card slot and HDMI port with a USB 3.0 Type-C connection. As we hinted in the beginning, the Chromebook 14 for Work has a Trusted Platform Module solution to securely store all your data on Google Drive. The company is also giving free 100GB of Google Drive storage with every purchase of Chromebook 14 for Work.
The price of Acer Chromebook 14 is $349 and it will go on sale starting May.
