Just in time to promote the Angry Birds movie, Rovio has released a new Angry Birds Action! game for the Android users. Unlike Rovio’s previous old games, Angry Birds Action is a little bit different and uses real-life elements to add additional contents. While the company’s big aim here is to promote its upcoming Angry Birds movie, but it is also an entertaining game for Angry Birds fans.

Instead of throwing birds on green piggies, this time the company is going with the idea in which player shoots characters at different objects to break them. Angry Birds Action! features three main characters of the movie, namely Red, Chuck, and Bomb. While the base story line is same, but the way you will do is different. There is some ACTION! involved.

Overall, it still has the old gorgeous graphics and amazing music. A new thing which Rovio introduced in this game is “BirdCodes.” As company notes, these BirdCodes will give you access to new content, power ups for the game, additional mini games, and a lot more. All you have to do is just find them. Rovio says that you can easily find these BirdCodes at movie theaters, on Angry Birds toys, or any other location involving Angry Birds.

Last but not least, if you go watch the movie in theaters and then open the game when the end credits start, you will unlock a new area in the game, along with an exclusive movie clip. So, Ya! Angry Birds Action! is basically to promote the first Angry Birds movie. But hey! we already love these little birds and I don’t think there is anything wrong in promoting them.
