Google’s MODE Watch Bands For Android Wear Make Swapping Easier
In an attempt to make customization easier, Google on Tuesday introduced a new MODE bands for its Android Wear running smartwatches. These bands have been especially designed to make swapping easier and less time take. While the MODE bands are expensive, but they are worth the price.
The price of MODE bands depends on the type of band you are buying and its size. For example, the silicone Android Wear band starts at $49.99 while the leather band is available for $59.99. All of these bands are available in 16 different color options in 4 different sizes i.e. 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, and 22mm. All are made by Hadley Roma in partnership with Google.
So, what makes these Android Wear watch bands special or different from others? Well, the answer is the way they have been designed. MODE watch bands have a snap-and-go mechanism that allows snapping easier and less time consuming. If you look under side these bands then you will notice a hook type structure, which covers the top of a watch’s spring bar. When fitted, a metal slider closes the connection, securing the band in one place.
While it is easy afterwards, but setting it up for the first time is little bit tricky. Inside the box pack of MODE you will find a set of spring bars and a spring bar tool. You will have to manually replace the old watch band with the new spring bars, so that you can easily swap in the new MODE bands without any problem. Don’t worry! the setup is only for first time, after that you can just swap-in and you are good to go.
