Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow Movie Might Become Reality

As some of you might know, Marvel has already unveiled the official schedule for some of its upcoming movies. While the list is long and includes some of the already running titles like Avengers and Thor, but it also includes some new solo films, made entirely to introduced new superheroes to Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. These upcoming films are Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man and The Wasp and Captain Marvel. Now it appears like another female hero is getting her very own solo movie. And she is none other than Natasha Romanoof aka Black Widow.

Talking to Deadline, about the character which is destined to get a solo film in the future, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige said: “We’ve announced the next nine movies, 10 counting Civil War, through the end of 2019. Where we go beyond that are ongoing discussions that we’ll focus on in the next few years because we have a lot to do before then. Of the characters that you’ve just mentioned I would say certainly the one creatively and emotionally that we are most committing to doing is Black Widow.”

Introduced in Iron Man, Black Widow is played by amazing Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson. “We think she’s an amazing character. We think Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of her is amazing.” he added. “She’s a lead Avenger and has amazing stories in her own right to tell that we think would be fun to turn into a stand-alone franchise.”

While we don’t know when Marvel is planning to tell us more about this solo Black Widow movie, but hopefully we will hear more about it by the next year. Till then you can watch Black Widow kicking some ass in the new Captain America: Civil War movie, which is successfully running in theaters across the world.
