Supergirl Season 2 will air on The CW

Good news, Supergirl has been renewed for a second season and it is now moving from CBS to The CW aka network of DC Comics’ TV shows.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter and other publications, Supergirl Season 2 will now air on The CW. The show will officially join CW’s other popular superhero series like Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash. To cut costs, the network is also planning to move the production of Supergirl from Los Angeles to Vancouver, where CW’s other shows are being filmed.

Supergirl, which was CBS’ most expensive first-year show, kicked off its journey with impressive audience, but the numbers dropped by the end of Season 1. Since the announcement several fans recommended that instead of CBS, The CW should run the show, but CBS believed that its high budget would better suit Supergirl than CW. The show attracted an average audience of 10 million across its 18-episode run. Some of the most popular episodes of Supergirl include the Pilot and The Flash crossover.

While we don't know anything about what The CW is planning for Supergirl, but now when it is on the same network as Flash and Arrow, so we are expecting to see more crossover episodes like the previous one.
