WhatsApp for Windows and Mac Download (Official Apps)

After a long wait, WhatsApp has finally released the official desktop apps for its platform. WhatsApp for Windows and Mac are now available for download from company’s website. The WhatsApp for Windows PC works on Windows 8 and above, while Mac app works on OS X 10.9 Mavericks and above.

You will still need your phone to make it work. Just like the WhatsApp Web that works only after pairing your WhatsApp running phone with your PC or computer. "Like WhatsApp Web, our desktop app is simply an extension of your phone: the app mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device," the company wrote.

As you would expect, the desktop version of WhatsApp is fast, responsive and easy to use. WhatsApp, which already has more than 1 billion users, has now given us another reason to love its service. This will definitely increase the number of active users and the user engagement time.
